According to the National Survey of Employment and Earnings 2013, Guatemala has a total workforce of 6.0 million people, of which 27.4% are aged between 15 and 24 years and 72.6% between 25 and 65 years.

There are 14 prestigious universities with more than 50 offices throughout the country and all Head Offices are located in Guatemala City.

In total, there are more than 312,700 registered students in major humanistic and technical carreers (degrees and engineering) as KPMG study (2012), meeting the strictest international standards.

According to the latest National Survey of Employment and Earnings in Guatemala 2013 there are more than 555,000 people have college degrees. A total of more than 1.5 million people have secondary education degrees in Bachelor, Accounting or Magisterium programs. More than 2 million Guatemalans have some training for specialized work.

Guatemala has thechnical training centers INTECAP (Technical Institute of Training and Productivity), with 33 centers and delegations strategically distributed around the country, providing training in various areas. During 2013, the Institute has trained a total of 310.134 people; a total of 123 races certifiable expects the number of people trained to grow in 2014
