This Mexican company, with more than 50 years of history, focuses on industrial, infrastructure, and real estate development projects. It is a pioneer in the implementation and operation of high specification highways, and has paved over 3,500 km of roads in Mexico.

In 1997, Marhnos received permission to build the southern portion of the Palín-Escuintla highway, and has opened operations in Guatemala for a period of 25 years. Marhnos has built, maintained, and operated the best road in the country with high quality standards and technology, helping thousands of Guatemalans to travel effectively to the southern coast of the country.
As indicated by Mr. Juan Martinez Venegas, General Manager in Guatemala: "To Mahrnos, Guatemala represented a unique and attractive business model. In addition, the Central American market started to interest us because of its growth and potential. For this reason, we visualized Guatemala as a challenge, we took the risk and it worked"
Guatemala has offered Marhnos unique strengths: a wide availability of natural resources, excellent geographical location, and a high level of infrastructure development projects. Such advantages stand out in the region and place Guatemala as the focus of interest for investors with vision in the areas of infrastructure and logistics.
Marhnos has invested approximately $186 million in Guatemala and has the license to operate the highway until 2022.
